Datong Tai Chi Academy Ltd. (“we”) processes personal data when you use datongtaiji.com or buy a pre-recorded course. This policy explains what we collect and why.
1. Who we are
Controller: Datong Tai Chi Academy Ltd., Saskatchewan, Canada. Contact: help@datongtaiji.com. Payments on this site are processed by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record; Paddle is an independent controller for payment data.
2. Data we collect
Account email and password (handled via our academy login). Order email, country, and product when you check out with Paddle. Technical logs (IP, browser) needed to run the site and prevent abuse. We do not store full card numbers.
3. Why we use it
To create your account, take payment through Paddle, grant or revoke video access, send transactional email, improve the site, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Sharing
Paddle (payments, invoices, tax). Hosting, email, and CDN providers who process data on our instructions. We share what is required to deliver the course or comply with law.
5. Retention
We keep account and purchase records as long as you have access and as required for tax, accounting, and dispute handling, then delete or anonymise where we can.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to certain processing. Email help@datongtaiji.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in on this domain, and a country cookie if you override shop region. Paddle may set cookies on checkout.
